About Crown Academy of English

Hello and welcome. My name is Andrew and I am the founder of CrownAcademyEnglish.com

I am British. – I was born in the city of Manchester in England.

I am a fully qualified English teacher. In 2003, I passed the “TESOL” qualification ( Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), one of the most respected English teaching qualifications and recognised internationally by the British Council.

If you are interested in some paid private English lessons with one of our recommended native English teachers, then click here > Private online English lessons

If you want IELTS lessons and writing corrections, I strongly advise you to take this IELTS online course and writing corrections.

I have 10 years experience of teaching English and 15 years business experience working in areas such as marketing, computing and technical translation. I am also fluent in French so I completely understand the difficulties in learning a new language!

In my free time, I love watching football – My team is Liverpool. I also have an aquarium and I keep tropical fish and shrimp!

I started Crown Academy of English in 2013 as a YouTube channel offering English video lessons and it has become one of the most popular English learning channels on YouTube ( over 300,000 subscribers from all over the world and over 20 million views). Make sure you subscribe to the YouTube channel because there are new videos every week.

I launched this website (CrownAcademyEnglish.com) in 2015. On the website, there will be:

  • English lessons in the form of written articles
  • Advice for preparing for English tests like IELTS, TOEFL and others
  • General advice for learning English
  • Articles about British culture

You can also follow me on my very popular Twitter account (over 38,000 followers) for daily vocabulary and other English tweets.

If you like my lessons here and on YouTube, then please support me by putting a link to this website on your blogs, websites, facebook pages and other social media.

Andrew
